End of Summer.
Je pense que tout ça revient à savoir ce que tu es prêt à risquer dans cette vie éphémère pour l'amour que tu désires secrètement.

Compendium of Drabbles
And this is how it happens.
Things that belong like lost baggage, forgotten memories. How else can we know of things
like cold air and cracks we don't see?And this is how it happens,
drop by drop, spill by spill.
Slow lights and shivering hands. How else can we know of things
like tripping on our own feet
and coming clean?

It was by some reckless decision that Eos woke up finding herself in a massive cage, wrist shackled, outstretched over her head to keep her upright. Noticing it first by the stinging pain of the cold metal digging on her skin and only after a couple of seconds did everything else register to her. The biting cold making every hair on her body stand on it's ends as she had been stripped bare naked. Her wings were out and clipped up to keep it on full display even in her slumber and she was horrified to find a good amount of her feathers littering the inside of her enclosure. The drapes that was keeping the cage dim was slowly lifted and she was welcomed by a blinding light that was shining directly on her face and she attempts to tug on her bounds, pulling on it desperately as her birdcage is pushed forward by a mechanism and revealing her to be on some kind of platform in front of a crowd, a stage where she's the main attraction. A centerpiece on a dinner table full of hungry hunters waiting to get a chance to have their very own 𝑮𝒖𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒊𝒂𝒏 𝑨𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒍, as if things work that way. As if owning one would grant them unlimited wishes of some sort. Her eyes soon adjusted to the light and she managed to make out a silhouette of four more pair of wings, two on either side of her, hanging by some kind of wire that comes down from the ceiling like a massive ornament, ripped out from it's respective owners. The initial horror that she felt was easily replaced with rage as she let out a high pitched scream towards the crowd, violently tugging on her cuffs and ignoring the way it cuts her skin as she wills her wings to get out of it's restraints as well but it appears that struggling more only tightens the clip that was attached to it.𝘈 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘥𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘢𝘨𝘰, 𝘌𝘰𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘓𝘶𝘯𝘢 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘩𝘦𝘳, 𝘬𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘢 𝘴𝘢𝘧𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘤𝘳𝘪𝘣𝘣𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘢 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳, 𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘩𝘦'𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢 𝘧𝘦𝘸 𝘥𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘚𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘢 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘦 𝘢𝘴 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘦𝘥 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘎𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘤𝘦. Only the sound of a gavel pounding quieted them down as a voice started to talk through a microphone, re-stating the rules of the auction once again before the starting amount for the first pair of dead wings was announced at a hefty sum of

Rooftop Redemption
A few more days until the turnover of the season, from winter to spring— but the air was too stagnant, the angel thought, too humid and still that it already feels like summer had come around too quickly. The type of weather that makes one feel sweaty without moving a muscle. She sat perched on the roof top of her cabin with her legs dangled at the edge as she faces the setting sun, lighting her third cigarette before whistling a short tune to call on the wind, hoping it would soothe the feverish feeling on her skin.Eos expected to have plans for the day as she was told that her witcher, would have a free day. They had talked the previous night about looking for a lot, one where they would have their 'forever house' built on and she was giddily exuberant about the whole ordeal. So much so that she barely slept, anticipating the entire day only... none of the plans happened. And she couldn't bring herself to be mad about it, possibly slightly let down. Albeit she knew that her man gets really busy and completely understand instances like today, the angel couldn't help but feel a little crestfallen. With a puff from her cig, she decided to exhale her thoughts about the matter along with the smoke. Hopefully some other day.Mayhap it was on top of the fact that today was... Dami's birthday. A tugging feeling of glum that the angel couldn't shake off because how does one die in front of her and come back in a complete stranger's form? One would think that they as supernaturals would be used to the crazy, crazy cycle of being immortal but it was different. Eos felt her sister's light snuffed out, she was gone, only it appears that she wasn't really. The angel wasn't a stranger to death, to mourning the loss of someone dear to her. But to have them reappear as if they were never cold and lifeless in her arms made her feel... cheated. Above the many emotions coursing through her, through the link that she has on her sisters— from grief to disbelief, anguish, the pain and desolation to the slow acceptance and moving on as what they were collectively supposed to do. But how? Now that their sister seems to be back only fiendishly rooted in a completely different person's body. With every single sentiment that Eos was going through, she could not wrap her head around this idea. Perhaps it is because of what she is, that she find it hard to understand how they seem to very easily have cheated death as if it is a light matter. She would have been elated to have their Dami back, no doubt. If only she wasn't there when the werewolf died. If only they did not mourn her and scattered her ashes to the sea. It would be so much easier if it hadn't happened at all, right? The sun had completely gone in hiding in just a matter of minutes and the angel once again decided to keep everything in. Choosing to keep quiet about a practical stranger coming into their home, their lives. Despite the strong connection that even her indifference can't deny, Eos decided to remain detached from the celebration of having Dami back. It was too good to be true and if she was being honest, it might take some time for her to completely acknowledge it.Eos finally pushes herself up from where she's been sitting, dusting off her bottoms before making her way back down when she caught a glint of something shiny across the space, the moonlight hitting it just enough for her to notice. Taking a quick stride closer and picking the item up, she realized it was the chain from the weapon she had given Ryo the day he randomly decided to bring her to that dreadful place in hopes of finding out more about what happened to her kind.It was on that exact spot, where they first sat together watching the sky light up. It was there, where she comes to when the world is moving too fast and she needs a moment to not drown in her emotions. Today was no exception, she was there among every other place she could be in. For a little bit of sanity, for a little bit of redemption.
